Procedure

The procedure can be performed in a simple office setting under local anesthesia. The mouth and lips are locally anesthetized; then, two small incisions are made in the corners of the mouth. The PermaLip™ implant is then passed through a tunnel in the lip and centered. The process is repeated for the other lip and the incisions are closed using absorbable suture. The entire process can take less than thirty minutes and normal activity may be resumed the following day.

PermaLip™ Lip Enhancement is relatively simple to perform. The mouth and lips are locally anesthetized; then, two small incisions are made in the corners of the mouth. The PermaLip™ implant is then passed through a tunnel in the lip and centered. The process is repeated for the other lip and the incisions are closed using absorbable suture. The entire process is designed to take less than fifteen minutes and normal activity may be resumed the following day.

Although PermaLip™ is permanent, it is also designed to be easily reversible should a person wish to return to their original lip appearance. Removal of implants typically takes less than ten minutes.
